March Madness Spotlight: Villanova (Big East)

We all know how awesome Kentucky is as they have to be considered the overall number one seed in the entire tournament no matter if the stumble in the SEC tournament or not.  But what about some of the other teams out there and how do they stack up?  We will be looking at several different teams over the next few days and the first team we will look at is the Villanova Wildcats from the Big East.

Villanova now 30-2 for the season, could be a team that would be worth a futures bet.  Villanova is on a current 13 game winning streak and has covered 12 out of the last 13 games ATS.

Villanova got it going early this season with out of conference wins over VCU, Michigan, Lasalle, St. Joesph’s, Illinois, Temple and Syracuse.

Villanova took that momentum into the Big East conference and swept Butler, Providence, St. John’s, Xavier, Creighton, Depaul & Marquette.

Only two losses for Villanova came on the road in Big East play as the stumbled to Georgetown & Seton Hall, but later revenged both of those losses on their home floor.

Villanova defeated Marquette for the third time this season in their first official tournament game as the Big East tourny is currently underway.

We will be breaking down more teams later.  If you want picks from Team Underground visit
